October 16 – April 30 (internship)
Cascadia Wild, a Portland-based 501c(3) nonprofit, seeks an intern to support the operations of the Wolverine Tracking Project, a citizen science project that uses wildlife cameras and snow tracking surveys to monitor rare carnivores in the Mt Hood National Forest. The intern will gain experience in all aspects of supporting a field-based citizen science research project, including equipment maintenance, data processing and analysis, and volunteer management. Work will be done at Cascadia Wild’s Northeast Portland office on a regular weekly schedule. The intern will have the opportunity to participate in additional fieldwork on weekends as availability allows.
